Church Weddings in San Miguel

San Miguel is full of gorgeous venues that will host your wedding, but if a more traditional church ceremony is what you prefer, it can be accomplished. The vast majority of churches in San Miguel are Catholic, reflecting the populace that lives here. (This includes the majestic Parroquia).

To book one of those venues, it is highly recommended that you enlist the help of your wedding planner. They will know whom to speak with to book your wedding and be able to communicate in Spanish.

If you are not Catholic, a church wedding isn't completely out of the question. St. Paul's Anglican Church may be an option for you, as it is the largest expat church in San Miguel. Priority is given to practicing Episcopalians and Anglicans in Communion with Canterbury, but all couples are given consideration.

Mother Karen O'Malia is the designated officiant, and a delightful person also. You can contact the church through your wedding planner or speak to Miguel in the church office directly at He can forward you the application/fee schedule as well as discuss church availability.
